A one woman mobile performance. And you're in it too.
I Am Me is a story about a woman and a bus; an exploration of who we are to ourselves and others. Public space becomes the world of the play peopled by passersby and you, the audience.

"I Am Me" Wins Grand Prize at Kolyada/Plays Festival
The Kolyada Plays Festival brought I Am Me to Ekaterinburg this June. Nikolai Kolyada is a playwright, director and artistic director of his own theater. He teaches and fosters hundreds of theater makers and is greatly loved. The Kolayada Plays festival celebrates the work of Ural playwrights. This festival has been the jumping board for over a dozen internationally produced playwrights from the region. The Grand Prize is awarded by a jury of critics from around the country that come to the ten day festival. After each performance a panel discussion by the critics gives the artists involved in each production a chance to receive feedback.
The jury voted unanimously to give I Am Me the top honor of the festival.
I was thrilled to be performing in Chichkanova's home town and touched by how warmly I was received.

I Am Me at the Golden Mask Festival
"I Am Me" was performed at the Golden Mask Festival this March as part of the New Play Project. The Festival included ten productions from seven countries. "I Am Me" was performed at ZIL Cultural Center and old Soviet culture house built for car factory workers and now a center where the community and professional performers and artists of all kind can study, perform or just hang out in the library. It was amazing.
